Concrete repair and resurfacing in Georgia
Crack repair, slab lifting, resurfacing overlays and partial replacement for driveways, walks, patios and garage floors. We tell you honestly whether a repair will hold or the slab needs to go.
How we do it
- 1
Diagnosis
We look at why the slab failed: base washout, tree roots, settlement, age or a bad original pour. The fix has to address the cause or it won't last.
- 2
Repair plan and estimate
Crack filling, joint sealing, lifting, an overlay or section replacement, with the price and the expected life of each option.
- 3
The repair
Lifting sunken sections, routing and sealing cracks, pouring an overlay on a prepared surface, or cutting out and replacing the sections that can't be saved.
- 4
Matching and finishing
New sections are finished to match the color and texture of the rest as closely as concrete allows.
Options and finishes
Crack repair and joint sealing
Routed and sealed cracks, resealed control joints, so water stays out of the base.
Slab lifting
Mudjacking or polyurethane foam injected under a sunken but intact slab.
Resurfacing overlays
A thin bonded overlay on a sound slab, plain or stamped, at about $3 to $10 per square foot nationally.
Section replacement
Cut out the failed panels and pour new ones, matched to the rest.
Slab and foundation repair
Cracked or sunken garage floors, shed and shop slabs and settled slab-on-grade sections: lifted, sectioned and re-poured, or replaced. For structural movement in a house foundation we recommend a foundation specialist and say so in writing.
What's in our estimate
Every estimate is written, itemized and free. For concrete repair and resurfacing it covers:
- An assessment of why the slab failed
- The repair method and its expected life, in writing
- Crack filling, lifting, overlay or replacement as agreed
- A finish matched to the surrounding concrete
What moves the price
- What caused the damage and whether the base needs work
- Square footage to be repaired or overlaid
- Whether lifting is possible (the slab must be intact)
- How closely the finish has to match
- Full replacement if the slab can't be saved
National price ranges, with sources, are in our cost guide. Your written estimate is the real number for your site.
Working in Georgia's weather
Our summers are hot enough to change how we schedule and cure a pour, and north Georgia gets enough freezing nights in winter that we plan cold-weather protection from December to February. Every city page shows the local numbers and what we do about them. Permits differ from one city or county to the next; we tell you which apply and pull them as part of the job.
Why homeowners choose us
A written estimate you can compare
Thickness, base depth, reinforcement and finish are spelled out line by line, so you can hold any other quote against it.
One call, then a date
We call back to confirm the details, usually the same business day, and book the visit at a time that suits you. No chasing.
Insured crews, permits pulled
General liability insurance on every job, the certificate with your estimate, and we pull the permits your city or county requires.
Frequently asked questions
Resurface or replace?
+
Resurfacing is cheaper, about $3 to $10 per square foot nationally, but only works on a sound slab. Heaving, deep cracks or a failed base mean replacement. We tell you which one at the estimate.
Can a sunken driveway section be lifted?
+
Often yes, with mudjacking or polyurethane foam injected under the slab, as long as the concrete itself is intact.
Do you do foundation repair?
+
For slabs, yes: garage floors, shop and shed slabs and settled slab sections can be lifted, sectioned or replaced. Movement in a house foundation (doors sticking, stair-step cracks in brick) needs a structural assessment and often piers; that's a specialist trade we don't sell, and we'll tell you if that's what you're looking at.
What to have ready
None of it is required to send the request. It just makes the callback shorter and the estimate more accurate.
- The property address, so we can check the permit office and get the right crew
- Rough dimensions: pace it out, or size it with our concrete calculator
- What it's for: cars, a work truck, a hot tub, a shed, foot traffic
- A couple of photos of the area and the route a concrete truck would take
- Anything you've noticed about water: puddles, a downspout, a low corner
- When you'd like it done
