Concrete walkways, sidewalks and steps in Georgia

Front walks, side paths, pool surrounds, public sidewalk sections and poured steps, plain or finished to match the patio.

How we do it

  1. 1

    Layout

We mark the path with you, set the width (3 feet for a single path, 4 feet so two people can pass) and plan how water runs off it.

  2. 2

    Base and forms

Excavation, compacted gravel and forms, including curves and the step risers.

  3. 3

    Pour and finish

A 4-inch slab with a slip-resistant broom finish, or exposed aggregate or stamping to match other work.

  4. 4

    Joints and cure

Control joints every few feet so the walk doesn't crack at random. Steps are formed to code rise and run with a landing where needed.

Options and finishes

  • Front walks and entries

Straight or curved, with a landing at the door.

  • Poured steps

Solid concrete steps with consistent 7-inch rises and 11-inch treads, ready for a handrail.

  • Pool surrounds

Broom or exposed aggregate for grip, sloped away from the pool.

  • Public sidewalk sections

Replacement of the section in front of your property to the city's specification.

What's in our estimate

Every estimate is written, itemized and free. For walkways, sidewalks and steps it covers:

  • Layout, excavation and a compacted base
  • Forms, a 4-inch slab and control joints
  • A slip-resistant broom finish, or a decorative finish to match
  • Steps formed to code, with a landing where needed

What moves the price

  • Length and width
  • Steps, landings and handrail footings
  • Curves and borders
  • The finish
  • City sidewalk permits and inspections

Working in Georgia's weather

Our summers are hot enough to change how we schedule and cure a pour, and north Georgia gets enough freezing nights in winter that we plan cold-weather protection from December to February. Every city page shows the local numbers and what we do about them. Permits differ from one city or county to the next; we tell you which apply and pull them as part of the job.

Why homeowners choose us

A written estimate you can compare

Thickness, base depth, reinforcement and finish are spelled out line by line, so you can hold any other quote against it.

One call, then a date

We call back to confirm the details, usually the same business day, and book the visit at a time that suits you. No chasing.

Insured crews, permits pulled

General liability insurance on every job, the certificate with your estimate, and we pull the permits your city or county requires.

Frequently asked questions

Who is responsible for the sidewalk in front of my house?

+

It depends on the city or county. Many Georgia cities hold the property owner responsible for repairs but require a permit and their specifications. We handle both.

How wide should a front walkway be?

+

3 feet is a common minimum for a single path; 4 feet lets two people pass. We match the width to the entrance and the landscaping.

What to have ready

None of it is required to send the request. It just makes the callback shorter and the estimate more accurate.

  • The property address, so we can check the permit office and get the right crew
  • Rough dimensions: pace it out, or size it with our concrete calculator
  • What it's for: cars, a work truck, a hot tub, a shed, foot traffic
  • A couple of photos of the area and the route a concrete truck would take
  • Anything you've noticed about water: puddles, a downspout, a low corner
  • When you'd like it done
