Stamped and decorative concrete in Georgia
Stamped patterns, integral color, exposed aggregate and borders for patios, driveways, pool decks and walkways: the look of stone or pavers in one solid slab.
How we do it
- 1
Pattern and color selection
We bring the pattern boards and color charts to the estimate, show you finished jobs nearby and settle the pattern, base color, accent color and border before anything is ordered.
- 2
Base, forms and steel
Decorative work needs the same foundation as plain work: compacted base, forms, reinforcement and a joint layout that works with the pattern.
- 3
Color and pour
Integral color in the mix, color hardener broadcast on the surface, or both. We pour on a schedule that gives the crew time to stamp before the surface sets, which in Georgia summers means an early start.
- 4
Stamping
Release agent goes down, then the stamp mats are pressed in course by course. Edges, borders and corners are detailed by hand.
- 5
Wash, seal and cure
After curing, the excess release is washed off to reveal the accent color, and the slab is sealed. We give you a resealing schedule.
Options and finishes
Ashlar slate and flagstone
The most popular patio patterns: large irregular stones with a natural texture.
Wood plank
A boardwalk look for patios and pool surrounds without the maintenance of real wood.
Cobble and brick borders
A contrasting border around a plain or stamped field.
Exposed aggregate
Not stamped, but decorative: the stone in the mix revealed for texture and grip.
Stamped overlays
For a sound existing slab, a thin stamped overlay instead of a tear-out.
What's in our estimate
Every estimate is written, itemized and free. For stamped and decorative concrete it covers:
- Everything a plain pour includes: base, forms, reinforcement, joints
- Integral color or color hardener, release agent and the stamp pattern
- Accent colors, borders and saw-cut details in the design
- A sealer after the pour, and a resealing schedule
What moves the price
- Square footage
- Number of colors and patterns
- Borders, bands and hand-detailed edges
- Pool-deck and step details
- Sealer type and the resealing plan
- Season: hot days shorten the stamping window and change the schedule
National price ranges, with sources, are in our cost guide. Your written estimate is the real number for your site.
Working in Georgia's weather
Our summers are hot enough to change how we schedule and cure a pour, and north Georgia gets enough freezing nights in winter that we plan cold-weather protection from December to February. Every city page shows the local numbers and what we do about them. Permits differ from one city or county to the next; we tell you which apply and pull them as part of the job.
Why homeowners choose us
A written estimate you can compare
Thickness, base depth, reinforcement and finish are spelled out line by line, so you can hold any other quote against it.
One call, then a date
We call back to confirm the details, usually the same business day, and book the visit at a time that suits you. No chasing.
Insured crews, permits pulled
General liability insurance on every job, the certificate with your estimate, and we pull the permits your city or county requires.
Frequently asked questions
How much does stamped concrete cost?
+
Nationally about $10 to $14 per square foot for a basic pattern and one color, $14 to $20 for mid-range work and $20 or more for custom designs, according to ConcreteNetwork. We quote your exact design in writing.
Does stamped concrete need sealing?
+
Yes. We seal it after installation and recommend resealing every few years, sooner on pool decks and driveways.
Can you stamp my existing patio?
+
Not directly. A sound slab can take a stamped overlay; a cracked or heaving slab needs replacement first. We tell you which at the estimate.
What to have ready
None of it is required to send the request. It just makes the callback shorter and the estimate more accurate.
- The property address, so we can check the permit office and get the right crew
- Rough dimensions: pace it out, or size it with our concrete calculator
- What it's for: cars, a work truck, a hot tub, a shed, foot traffic
- A couple of photos of the area and the route a concrete truck would take
- Anything you've noticed about water: puddles, a downspout, a low corner
- When you'd like it done
